The idea of the use of ozone therapy on patients affected by Covid-19 comes from Professor Mariananno franzini, international president of the Scientific Society of Oxygen Ozone Therapy (SIOOT) and doctor in the most affected area, Bergamo. There’s been a lot of talk in the last few days about this alternative.
The treatment consists of injecting an oxygen-ozone mixture with various methods of administration: intramuscular or subcutaneous. In the case of Covid-19 the mixture is injected via the so-called large self-infusion: 100-150 ml of blood is drawn to which 100-150 ml of oxygen-ozone is added. The blood is then re-injected on the same route to the patient. The results are increasingly convincing.
After five days of treatment in eleven patients, in severe and very serious conditions, treated with ozone, of the five intubates one improved to the point of being extubated and the others improved significantly. The patient with less severe conditions, after a few sessions of oxygen ozone therapy recovered and returned home.
